What is Hybrid Mode?

Hybrid Mode describes a specific synchronization setting in the creation section of adCore:

Where adCore will fully update your Dynamic Search Campaign's ad groups, yet you can still manually alter the ad copy, and keywords directly in your advertising platform.

In this mode adCore will read all new keywords that have been manually added to the campaign, and will update the keyword parameter and destination URL values of the new keywords based on other keywords' within the ad group.

There are two ways that hybrid mode will update the parameter value for you:

Case 1)

Your adCore Dynamic Search Campaign is set up so that each ad group is a single product, and all keywords in the ad group refer to the same product.

In this case, all adCore generated keywords have the same exact Destination URL as well as Parameter value. Any new keywords that are added to the ad group (via an editor or directly into the advertising platform) will also get this unique parameter value, as well as the destination URL.

Case 2)

Your adCore Dynamic Search Campaign uses a DKI and groups like products together, therefore you may have adCore generated keywords in a single ad group with different destination URL's and different parameter values.

In this case, the only way for adCore to know which Parameter value to add to the manually added keywords would be by Destination URL. Therefore, if you wish to take full advantage of 'Hybrid Mode' you MUST add the correct Destination URL to the keywords when you create them (either via editor or directly in the advertising platform).

Example of Case 1:

Campaign X has many ad groups that are paused and activated based on a feed that adCore reads on a day to day basis. Under each of these ad groups there are a handful of keywords that are generated by adCore that automatically get a destination URL and parameter value based on information in the feed.

Ad Group1

     Keyword:     Param Value:     Dest URL:

     Magic                      2.4              http://wizards.com/product/wizard-wand

     Wizard                    2.4              http://wizards.com/product/wizard-wand

     Wand                      2.4              http://wizards.com/product/wizard-wand

When you add any other keyword to this adgroup, the parameter value and the destination URL will automatically get updated the next time adCore runs.

Example of Case 2:

Campaign Y has many ad groups that are paused and activated based on a feed that adCore reads on a day to day basis. Under each of these ad groups there are multiple keywords that are generated by adCore that automatically get a destination URL and parameter value based on information in the feed.

Ad Group1

     Keyword:     Param Value:     Dest URL:

     Apple                       5                 http://FruitsRus.com/fruit/apple

     Orange                    12              http://FruitsRus.com/fruit/Orange

     Grapefruit               11.5           http://FruitsRus.com/fruit/Grapefruit

If you add other keywords to this ad group make sure to add the destination URL:

Seedless Grapefruits                 http://FruitsRus.com/fruit/Grapefruit

Only now will adcore update the Param Value to: 11.5
