How do I set the KW/PL Bid Management Algorithm?

 

The KW/PL Bid Manager optimizes your bids by using an algorithm to calculate the optimal Max CPC for an individual keyword/placement. the bid is set based on your desired goal as well as other factors such as:

  • Quality Score

  • Average CPC

  • Seasonality

  • Keyword/Managed Placement Statistics

  • Trends

  • Average Position

  • Historical Performance

The KW/PL Bid Management Algorithm looks like this:

Click on the edit icon AG Bid Mng.  to set the Keyword/placement management algorithm and follow a few steps

The following detail the steps and reference articles in the 'Help Center' that will teach you how to correctly use this part of the dashboard. 

1. Choose a Goal For the KW/PL Bid Manager

2. Set the Bid Deviation bar 

3. Set the Min/1st Page bar 

 

Optimize keywords and manged placements bids in order to meet your desired goal

Optimization rules:

Goal Type - Set the desired goal type
CPA - Cost per Action
Multi CPA - Multi Cost per Action (when multiple conversions occur per click).
ROI - Return on Investment

Goal - Set the goal value
Recommended value = x1.1 your desired goal.

Bid Deviation - Set the percentage you are willing to deviate from your current bid to meet the recommendation of the KW/PL Bid Management tool. 

Min/1st Page Bid - Set the percentage you are willing to deviate from your current bid to meet the recommendation of the min/1st page bid.

Max CPC - Set the max CPC.
Recommended value = x6 the campaign's average CPC.

Ad-Group Factor - Set different CPC factors for different ad-groups.

Exclude Keywords - Enter keywords you would like to exclude from the KW/PL Bid Management tool so that you can manage their bids manually
