This article will explain how to 'run' a campaign to file and see the results of the work you have done so far (without sending the information to the search engine yet)
If you haven't yet read the article 'How to create a Dynamic Search Campaign' you can do so HERE . The article explains the steps you need to take in order to create a dynamic search campaign in adCore. 'running' a campaign is the seventh step.
To go back to the previous step of ''How to target a Campaign or Channel' please click HERE.
Now that you have targeted the campaign you are ready to see the results of your work.
Click on the play icon under the 'submission settings' and then the target drop down menu. The choices presented in the menu are:
1. File - choosing to run a campaign to file means that you are still working on the campaign, you might still want to make changes and are not ready to send the campaign to the search engine. You are asking to see the results of the work that you did after an internal run within the software. A file run will not export the data to the search engine.
2. Demo - A more detailed File Run. Can be used to test all of the keywords, ad groups and ads created through the submission. A demo run will also show the amount of changes adCore would like to make from the latest live run. A Demo run will not export the data to the search engine.
3. Live - Will export all data created with the dynamic campaign creation to your targeted search engine campaign.
ALWAYS RUN A CAMPAIGN TO FILE BEFORE RUNNING IT LIVE. ONCE A CAMPAIGN GOES LIVE THERE IS NO WAY TO REVERT THE CHANGES.
Once you have run a campaign to file you can see the results in the creation results section.
In the example above the result of the run was 'good'. To see the details of how many keywords, ads and ad-groups were created, Click on the () icon or the file icon.
You can view the details in the files by clicking on the editor link under the component. You can also download the information in excel.
If you run a campaign to file and the result is an error, click on the error mark for more information on what went wrong and how you can fix it.
